The page of wands

The page is standing in the desert at the edge of the mountains under a pale blue sky. There is no water to be seen. He’s looking up past the brim of his feathered hat (the feather looks like a flame flickering out of his forehead), past the top of the stave he holds upright in a grip that is loose but confident.

The little booklet that came with my deck describes the scene as “a young man stand[ing] in the act of proclamation. He is unknown but faithful, and his tidings are strange. Divinatory meanings: Dark young man, faithful, a lover, an envoy, a postman. Beside a man, he will bear favorable testimony concerning him. Has the chief qualities of his suit.”

Is this more about focusing on new projects? That theme has been running through the last week or so, though to be fair, I have been looking for it. Focusing on new projects and directing energy, maybe in the face of strange news, or maybe in reaction. Young and childlike energy and creativity. Joan Bunning’s Learning the Tarot says the page of wands says “BE CREATIVE – BE CONFIDENT – BE ENTHUSIASTIC – BE COURAGEOUS.” As I head off on a work trip/small adventure next week, I’ll have my eyes open for unexpected news or strange tidings, and my notebook at hand for ideas.
